TALIA LANGTRY
Born and raised just outside of Vancouver, BC, Talia Langtry began her dance journey at the age of three. Her dedication and talent were recognized early, earning her the Darcey Bussell Bursary Award and the opportunity to compete in the 2016 Genée International Ballet Competition in Sydney, Australia.
In 2020, Talia graduated from Modus Operandi’s Post-Secondary Contemporary Dance Program under the artistic direction of Tiffany Tregarthen, David Raymond, and Kate Franklin, receiving BC Arts Council Scholarships for the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons. During her studies, she had the privilege of performing works by choreographers including David Raymond, Karissa Barry, Company 605, Kate Franklin, Paraskevas Terezakis, Shay Kuebler, Out Innerspace Dance Theatre, Vanessa Goodman, and Alanna Kraaijeveld.
Talia has also collaborated in the research and creative development phases with Out Innerspace Dance Theatre, Ballet Kelowna, and Kirsten Wicklund, deepening her versatility as a dancer and movement artist.
At Chi Health Club, Talia brings her professional training and contemporary dance expertise to a variety of dance and movement classes, helping participants explore expression, strength, and mindful movement in a supportive and inspiring environment.
